गोपनीयता सूचना

What personal data Finlabs India collects when you use this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who we are

Finlabs India Pvt. Ltd. (“Finlabs”, “we”, “us”) builds technology platforms for financial institutions and mutual fund distributors. When you use this website, Finlabs is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below — that is, we decide why and how it is processed.

For anything to do with your personal data, write to privacy@finlabsindia.com, or to the Grievance Officer named under Complaints.

This notice covers this website. The services we build and run for our clients are separate: there, our client is usually the Data Fiduciary and Finlabs is a Data Processor acting on their instructions. Our Learngenie app has its own notice.

What we collect and why

We ask for as little as we can. Everything below is given voluntarily — you can browse this website without telling us who you are.

  • Name, work email, phone number and organisation

    Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, arrange a demo, or reply to a question you have sent us
    Our basis
Your consent, given when you submit the form
    How long we keep it
24 months after we last hear from you, then deleted or anonymised
  • Marketing preferences

    Why we use it
To send you the product updates, events and insights you asked for
    Our basis
Your separate, optional consent — never bundled with an enquiry
    How long we keep it
    Until you withdraw it
  • Your CV and the contact details on it

    Why we use it
To assess you for a role at Finlabs
    Our basis
Your consent, given when you apply
    How long we keep it
    12 months from your application
  • Website usage data — cookies, IP address, pages viewed

    Why we use it
To understand how the site is used, and to show relevant ads
    Our basis
Your consent, given through the cookie banner. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies runs until you accept
    How long we keep it
As set out in Cookies and tracking

We do not ask for your date of birth, PAN, Aadhaar or any financial account details on this website, and you should never send them to us by email.

Cookies and tracking

Strictly necessary cookies — the ones that remember your language and whether you chose the light or dark theme — run whenever you visit, because the site cannot work without them. They stay on your device for up to 12 months and tell us nothing about you.

Analytics and advertising cookies run only if you accept them. You are asked the first time you visit, your answer is remembered, and you can change it whenever you like through तुमच्या गोपनीयता निवडी. Declining costs you nothing on this site.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our instructions, under contract:

  • Zoho — forms, CRM and the emails we send you
  • Amazon Web Services — serving this website, and storing enquiries, applications and CVs, in the Mumbai region. The anti-spam check on our forms runs here too, and sees your IP address in order to tell a person from a bot
  • Google आणि Microsoft — email, documents and meetings
  • Meta (WhatsApp) — only if you start a WhatsApp conversation with us
  • LinkedIn and Meta — advertising measurement, only if you accept advertising cookies

We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it, or to a court or law enforcement authority acting under a valid request.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

  • Show you a summary of the personal data we hold about you and what we do with it
  • Correct anything inaccurate, or complete anything missing
  • Erase personal data we no longer need, or that you have withdrawn consent for
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapable of doing so

To make a request, email privacy@finlabsindia.com with the words “Data rights request” in the subject line, and tell us what you want us to do. We will reply from the address you wrote to us from, so that we know the request is really yours. We acknowledge every request within 7 days and answer it within 30 days. There is no charge.

तुमच्या गोपनीयता निवडी

Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and costs you nothing:

  • Marketing emails — use the unsubscribe link at the foot of any email we send you. It takes one click and needs no reply from us.
  • WhatsApp — reply STOP and we will not message you again.
  • Cookies — and change your answer at any time.
  • Everything else — email privacy@finlabsindia.com and we will stop.

Withdrawing consent does not undo what we did while we had it, and we may still need to keep some records where the law requires it.

How we protect it

This website is served over HTTPS. Access to the systems holding enquiry and application data is limited to the people who need it, protected by multi-factor authentication, and logged. We delete or anonymise personal data once the purpose it was collected for has been served, on the schedule set out above.

No website can promise perfect security. If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will tell you and report it to the Data Protection Board of India as the Act requires.

Children

This website is intended for professionals and organisations, not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children here. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to privacy@finlabsindia.com and we will delete it.

Where our Learngenie app or a financial literacy programme reaches students, verifiable parental consent is obtained before a child’s data is processed, and children are not tracked for advertising. See the Learngenie notice.

Complaints

If something about your personal data is not right, tell our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge complaints promptly and resolve them within 90 days.

Changes to this notice

This is version 2.0, effective 19 October 2026. It replaces the Privacy Policy published in August 2026, which predated the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. When we change this notice we update the version and date above, and if the change affects how we use your personal data we will tell you before it takes effect.

Learngenie

Learngenie, our learning app, collects different data for different purposes and has its own notice: Privacy Notice — Learngenie.
